Hawks vs Dogs Wrap

Being it was our second preseason game, it has given us an insight of some areas where the team did well, and obviously areas where we still need to improve on. There were definitely some good patches of footy played where we executed some functional roles well i.e. we had some good strong ball carriers, there were some good support running and we saw some good hard tackles made.

There’s still lots of improvements required within this area as well as our set pieces and defensive line etc. Collectively, we looked disconnected and players probably felt that way too. The only way forward to get over this hump team is time, effort and sacrifice.  If we build TRUST with each other, including players, coaches and managers, we can only get stronger and become more CONNECTED!

Well done to the Spotswood Dogs, they ended up the winners 36-5. All the best for the season ahead and we look forward to next years game already.

This week sees our Premier Reserves and select Premiers play the Pioneer Club from the Wairarapa - kick off 2pm Helston Park.
