Let's Not Get Complacent!

Happy New Year to you all! We hope you enjoyed a lovely festive break.

As we reflect on our largely 'normal' daily life and the planning for a 2021 rugby season and compare the state of not just sport, but life also overseas, it reinforces the need for us to double down on our Covid-19 preventative protocols.

It is apparent a community outbreak would see what we enjoy and take for granted evaporate and may see us move to a further lockdown … something we do not want to experience.

This message is simply to reinforce our Covid-19 prevention stance and to ensure the following protocols are part of our daily being as a club:

  • Use the Covid-19 App everywhere we go. Turn Bluetooth capability on. This isn't hard!

  • Scan QR codes when entering the club

  • Do not come to the club and stay at home if you are feeling unwell

  • Cover your mouth when coughing

  • Use hand sanitiser regularly

  • If ever in doubt, err on the side of caution

  • Don't get complacent!

Thank you for all that you are already doing to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

This message is ultimately a positive one – let’s keep and enjoy what we have hard earned by simply refocusing and keeping Covid-19 out of our community.

Nga mihi nui,

JRFC Committee
