50 Games for Johnsonville – Finlay Sharp

This Saturday on Old Timers Day, Finlay Sharp will bring up an outstanding milestone, playing his 50th game for the Johnsonville Hawks.

Since arriving from England three years ago with his partner and mates Regan and Joe, Fin has become a huge part of the Hawks whānau both on and off the field. What started as a move halfway around the world has turned into a lasting connection with the club and community.

A hard-working, reliable, and versatile player, Fin can cover just about anywhere in the backline. He brings speed, strength, and consistency every time he pulls on the jersey. Whether it's making a big carry, chasing down a kick, or stepping into a different position for the team, Fin always puts the club first.

As one of the club captains, Fin leads with passion and energy. He's never afraid to give the boys a well-timed gee up when it's needed, and his commitment and standards have earned the respect of teammates, coaches, and supporters alike.

One thing is for sure you'll definitely hear Finlay on the field on Saturday! His voice, leadership, and enthusiasm are a massive part of what makes him such an important member of this team.

The Hawks family are incredibly proud of what you've achieved in your first 50 games and grateful for everything you continue to contribute to the club.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone, Fin. Here's to many more games for the Hawks.

Up the Hawks!
