Special milestone for a special member of the Hawks family this weekend.
This Saturday against Tawa, Sergio Hollis will make his 100th Premier appearance.
Starting his Wellington rugby journey at Polo Ground with family club Ories, making a few appearances there, Sergio eventually found his home at Helston Park with the Johnsonville Hawks, where he has become a massive part of the club both on and off the field.
A player who will put his hand up for any position and leave everything out on the field every single game.
A leader on and off the park, Sergio has played a huge role in the Hawks resurgence in recent years.
A man of great faith, service, and character, Sergio carries himself with humility and always puts others before himself. Alongside his playing career, he has also served as the club’s GDO (Game Development Officer) and continues to run the Hawks Academy for the college kids, always giving back to the next generation. A true man of service who will do anything for his people and community.
His family, wife Corrina, son Sergio, and baby on the way are incredibly proud, as is the entire Hawks whānau.
Congratulations on 100 Premier games brother.
Go well and up the Hawks
